My favorite lesbian fiction book:
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet, by Becky Chambers, because while the queer romance is quieter than others, it feels natural and easy.
My old favorite has to be:
Harry Potter, by JK Rowling, because it made me want to be a writer. However, my current favorite is A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab because her characters are amazing, and her plots twist in delicious ways.

I began to create lesbian fiction after my wife suggested I write her a story as a personalized gift. I was privileged to be mentored by another published author who helped turn a raw manuscript, into an actual novel. Upon completion, she encouraged me to submit to Desert Palm Press. DPP offered me a contract for my first novel, 'frame by frame' in 2017. My second novel, The Bucket List, was published in late 2018. I credit my storytelling ability to being an avid reader and having an adventure-filled occupation for twenty-five years as a career firefighter.

Favorite Book: Yellow Eyes by Rutherford Montgomery. Yes, I realize this is a children's book. But to this day, I still distinctly remember this book as the one that got me back into reading books again after a long time of not reading. “Game Changers is a sweet and sensual debut novel from a talented new author. The romance carries the rare quality of being both wonderfully aspirational and intimately relatable. Cuthbertson’s skill in balancing serious subjects with a lightness of heart leaves readers feeling hopeful, not only for the main characters but for themselves as well. Rachel and Jaye are each strong, sensitively drawn characters in their own right, but when pulled together, they make for the kind of match so many readers long to find, both in their books and in their own lives. ~Rachel Spangler is the award-winning author of 14 romance novels, including the Lambda finalists Heart of the Game, Close to Home, Perfect Pairing, and In Development.

“A lovely read about life, love and endurance! Thunder Edge is a charming tale of life finally coming together for a struggling young artist with a difficult and toubled beginnings. Her journey to love and success is rewarding and heartfelt. And through it all she is summoned by the occult to serve a purpose for a lost presence. This is excellent writing with a great gift of prose, descriptions of people, objects, places are written with detailed and vivid imagery. Something I always look for when reading a new author. The validity of the time period (1950) reflects the author’s committment to accuracy. I loved this novel! 5.0 out of 5 stars Kelley M Corallo

When she's not writing, Sandra enjoys painting watercolors and having fun with her friends.
“Poetry for everyone–even those who don’t read poetry. … I found this collection hard to put down. De Helen’s poems refuse to obey the rules or use their inside voices. By turns pointed, acerbic, poignant, angry, and pensive, the author’s poetic voice is always strong and palpable. There is something for anyone who is engaged in the people’s struggle here, and for everyone who has ever suffered or celebrated the paradoxical ironies of life, which is to say, everyone who is paying attention. Sandra de Helen and her poetry are a force to be reckoned with. 5.0 out of 5 stars Review by Sandra Anfang

“I met the author at a writer’s festival and we traded books. I was so impressed with the way this story unfolded. The author was great at giving us clues, but holding back just enough to keep us turning pages. I appreciated that the protagonist worked for an investigative agency I was not familiar with – so that added an interesting new element. Bring on the sequel!

… This book was an interesting twist of mystery and family drama. … Since Annie is not a detective or even amateur P.I., this is not a mystery that you follow clue after clue to get to the killer. I thought the way Kindred handled the mystery worked for the type of book it was. There was also a few exciting scenes that I enjoyed so I was happy about that. … This book does look to be the first of a series. In fact while the main story was tied up, there is a big loose end left open so I’m glad that there may be a book 2. … I thought Kindred wrote a good debut and I would not hesitate to read whatever she puts out next.” 4.0 out of 5 stars Lex

“Madam President if You Please….Usually political books aren’t my thing but I adore how Ms Mitchell writes so I knew I would read this too. I was really impressed by this book. That being said, of course it was well written, how could it not be? It kept and held my attention and while I had to pause for real life while reading, the story was never far from my mind. I loved seeing Maggie’s journey from her rough and neglected childhood, into her teen and college years where she struggled to find herself, often with just as much pain as her childhood held. Then we were shown her beginnings with her wife Helen all as her looking back while writing her memoire. In the current time she is a busy Senator who is running for president. We get to see the inner workings, her interactions with staff, friends and other politicians, all of it with the support and love of her wife. It was such a good story!! While this is not a romance, I did enjoy the strong physical relationship she and Helen share. Not just because I like the sexy bits but it added so much for me. I loved how even though they are older women (well, not to me lol) and insanely busy, they still desired each other and made time for that part of their relationship. It warmed my heart! There isn’t anything I didn’t like in this wonderful book and it is one of those books I wish would come true! SO well done!! 5.0 out of 5 stars Ameliah Faith VINE VOICE

Biography
I currently live in the Midwest with my partner of 20 years and with our two doodles, Truffle and Roux. I graduated from college with a BA in both Psychology and Journalism. With over more than 30 years of professional life, I was eager to venture into another phase of adventure.
During my career, I worked with gangs in the 80s, adolescent and child psychiatry in the 90s and crimes against children and human trafficking until 2017. I never expected my career to take me down such dark paths and experiences. The faces of troubled teens and abused children haunted my dreams. Although I worked with amazing professionals in local law enforcement, state police and the FBI; closure and justice were rarely the outcome.
One day, after commuting between home and office, I felt compelled to start writing again. Not case notes or reports, but something more, something different. After my retirement in 2017, I was able to take my thoughts and dreams and put them down on paper. Although this is my first book, I have enjoyed writing for many years. Before I knew it, I had the rough draft of my first novel. My partner encouraged me to keep going, to polish it into something publishable. Biography
Rashah Solun is a writer from Atlanta, Georgia, whose stories explore the sacred and the forgotten, the seen and unseen. A graduate of Spelman College with a B.A. in Comparative Women’s Studies, she weaves her love for quiet truths into her work. When she’s not chasing after her spirited toddler, Rashah can be found savoring family moments, writing poetry, or lost in a good book with a warm cup of chai tea.
“Intriguing New Mystery One of the things I noticed right away about No Thru Road is that I kept turning the pages. I was involved from the beginning. There are lots of books to choose from, and, as an avid reader, I want to be connected from the start. I was. The characters were variously intriguing and compelling. I cared about what happened to them. I would like to know more about the aunt—some nuggets given but more to know. Perhaps in the next book? The possible solutions were clearly explored, keeping my attention. The author’s sprinkling of humor throughout was a plus, a conduit to so much that might otherwise have been unknown. Congratulations to Linda Vogt—well done! 5.0 out of 5 stars Gail

” Set against the brutal, yet breathtaking, backdrop of the Alaskan wilderness, Summit’s Shadow blends themes of survival, female friendship, and self-discovery into a story that leaps off the page. Add in a dose of spooky lore, and you have a tale that both warms the heart and chills the bones, keeping readers gripped until the very end.

5.0 out of 5 stars jelängerjeälter
